After an off week, the final of the 2026 Cup Series season, NASCAR heads to Iowa for the Iowa Corn 350. And with that, Kevin Harvick and crew from the Harvick’s Happy Hour pod have made their race-winner predictions for this week’s race in Des Moines.
Harvick along with fellow hosts, Kaitlyn Vincie and Mamba Smith have registered their picks, two of which are Toyotas and one Ford. Well, two of the picks are the same.
Harvick and Vincie agree on Christopher Bell
“I’m going with Christopher Bell on this one,” said Vincie. “I was gonna say Ryan Blaney, but I just picked him, and I swear every time I pick him something bad happens.”
Kevin Harvick also agrees on Bell for this week at Iowa. He was surprised that Vincie had the same pick as him.
“Oh, Christopher Bell, that’s who I was gonna pick,” said Harvick. “Well, I’m gonna stick with Bell too.”
Mamba Smith and Vincie were surprised Harvick didn’t take Denny Hamlin. Harvick’s response was simple.
“Notebook is not that thick there,” said Harvick.
No one’s is at a track like Iowa, which will host its third NASCAR Cup Series race. That said, Hamlin’s advantage over the field is that thick notebook at most tracks.
Smith goes with Joey Logano
Joey Logano is coming off a win at North Wilkesboro, followed by a third-place finish in the Brickyard 400. Smith debated going with Ryan Blaney, who won the inaugural Iowa Corn 350, Logano is hot right now.
“I know Blaney’s won there the inaugural race, and we’re right in that time when Joey Logano’s got some momentum …” said Smith. “Alright, Joey, don’t let me down … I’m going with Joey Logano.
“This is a dangerous pick, if I’m being honest. I could finish second, or I could finish 30th.”
Harvick agreed it’s a dangerous pick. That said, it’s the right time of the year for Logano.
“That’s the thing,” said Harvick. “You just don’t know about where they are right now.
“I know they’ve run well two weeks in a row, but on two totally different tracks. Past history tells you that end of years are way better for the 22.”
How to watch Iowa Corn 350
On Sunday, August 9, NASCAR makes its return to Iowa Speedway for the Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol. This will be the first race on USA Sports, which will carry NASCAR coverage through the end of the season.
The race begins at 3:30. It will be televised on USA Network.
Last year’s Iowa Corn 350 featured a nail-biting finish and ended with William Byron in Victory Lane. This race came down to drops of gasoline. It was Byron’s second win of the 2025 season and his first win since the Daytona 500 back in February.
